The Baltimore Gamer Symphony Orchestra, founded by Kira Levitzky, has been sharing an appreciation for video game music since 2013. We are a community orchestra and choir that performs orchestral arrangements of music from video games for the enjoyment of the Baltimore community and surrounding areas. Along with concerts, we also host Instrument Petting Zoos where children and adults are able to interact with various musical instruments.
We are dedicated to offering quality services to our community that includes but are not limited to:
Stress-free Entry: We do not hold auditions for entry into the ensemble, only for solos/ensembles/part placement when necessary. That being said, we do have high expectations of members with regards to persistence and nurture them to push past their anxiety in the performance setting.
Rigorous Rehearsals: whatever a member is able to provide us when they enter, we push them to be their very best and allow them to discover any untapped potential.
We give performances for the public as well as learning opportunities when able.
We have worked in tandem with the Baltimore City Public Schools, Maryland Zoo, and Chesapeake Art Center to provide instrument petting zoos and concerts.
We enhance our community by being rated E for Everyone
